Dr. Kayo Higashimura has practiced for over 10 years in New York City and South Jersey. Her experience includes serving for five years as the Chief of Staff of an animal hospital and years of experience working with small animals and exotic pets including a variety of birds, lizards, and pets with special needs such as geriatric dogs and cats. Dr. Higashimura is a graduate of Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences of Cornell University.
Lori Abiuso has been a veterinary technician since 1999 and has experience working with veterinarians on small animals, large animals, and exotics in animal hospitals, 24 hour emergency clinics, as well as mobile practice. She has several years experience as both a surgical and dental technician. She is knowledgeable in the diets, behavioral, husbandry, and veterinary needs of many species, as well as skilled in handling, performing, and assisting veterinarians with the diagnostics and treatments necessary for their care. In 2009, Lori opened an animal care company and provides education, training, and sitting services for pets and their people. She enjoys riding her horse in her leisure time and social activities with her dog.
Amy Wolfinger is a Penn State University graduate and has been a veterinary technician since 2001. She has worked in animal hospitals with a variety of small animals and exotic species, where she gained knowledge of diet, husbandry, behavior, and handling. Amy also has done work in wildlife rehabilitation and education, specifically with shore birds and birds of prey. She enjoys sports, being outdoors, and spending time with her 14 year-old cat Jasper and her Bearded Dragon, Grim.
